Boring will be carried out by Shell and Auger method to sink nominal 150mm diameter bore holes to depths envisaged by using a mechanical winch as per IS 1892. Undisturbed soil samples will be collected at suitable intervals or at change of strata whichever is earlier by open drive sampling method since it is intended to ascertain the sub-soil characteristics.
